Meet the Team
- Owner of Fitness Coliseum. Alec has lived in the Owosso area most of his life. He graduated from Corunna High in 2003 and from Central Michigan University with a Bachelors of Science in Entrepreneurship in 2007. He is a certified personal trainer through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and certified through Precision Nutrition for nutrition consulting. Alec has learned a lot of his knowledge shadowing other trainers throughout the Lansing area. He continues to prosper in gaining knowledge of exercise science and how the body moves. Alec has a huge passion for the fitness field and loves to help others succeed in becoming a "better you".
Melissa Dora (Missy) is the newest member of the FC Team. She is a certified personal trainer through NASM. She grew up in Durand, MI graduating in 2007. She lived in Lansing for a four years before landing in Owosso, where she has been the past 6 years. Missy is a certified Phlebotomist and has spent the last four years drawing blood for McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital. Since 2015 she worked with Ingham Nephrology as a phlebotomist and office assistant. While working at Ingham Nephrology, which specializes in Kidney Function and Hypertension, she realized she wanted to be on the prevention end of healthcare. Missy has always been drawn to health and fitness. She has been a part of the fit family at FC for the last two years and decided to take the leap and follow her dreams this last summer, 2017, making her love for fitness a full time gig. She is so happy to be working with us and is ready to help others reach their fitness goals.
Tasha has been an ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) certified personal trainer since 2012. She graduated from Lake Superior State University in 2012 with her Associates in Health and Fitness and her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She is passionate about nutrition, fitness and wellness for herself and her clients. Tasha is driven by the extraordinary benefits that fitness has to offer: energy, vitality, strength, mobility and overall wellness. She wants everyone to be able to reap these awesome perks and is enthusiastic about motivating and guiding people to meet their fitness goals. As a trainer, she strives to create a program that is exhilarating and effective; she aims to improve her client’s life with each session. A good book, delicious food and wine; her dog, Porter; traveling, and her awesome family and friends round out her lifestyle. Her current aspirations include running her first Warrior Dash this July with the FC team, training for the Tough Mudder and obtaining her Precision Nutrition Certification.
